My work explores the refraction of light and shape through the material of glass, specifically, thick glass windowpanes. My paintings are of an organised and precise nature as I employ a photo-realist scrutiny to the contorted shapes and colours that are seen through the glass.  This transient moment between time, light, and space is that of a finite moment as the specific colours and shapes cannot be seen again as the components that create the composition can never again perfectly re-align. I capture these moments in my practice, replicate the light and colour refractions, while focusing how this intense mode of looking and painting can release the inherent and often missed beauty to be found in the fleeting dialogue between transparent objects and light.
