BA (Hons) Architecture‘Bird Species are declining rapidly with changing climates. Soaring the Lakes masterplan scheme focuses on bird conservation, monitoring and preserving the red and amber listed species and their habitats within the Lake District. Observation through bird hides located in Grizedale Forest, Tarn Hows, Dodd Wood, Haweswater Reservoir, Derwent Water and Windermere, provides researchers and visitors the opportunity to connect with nature and the landscape. The research centre at Fell Foot provides the central ‘nest’ of research and conservation. Interactive exhibitions and workshops provide an educational experience for visitors on bird species and habitat conservation. Visitors are encouraged to explore and connect with wildlife and the natural landscape of the Lake District.’
